China Scientist LU Ke Awarded TMS Fellow Award

Prof. LU Ke from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) was awarded with the Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) Fellow Award on March 1, 2017.

The Class of Fellow is the highest honor bestowed by TMS. To be inducted, the candidate must be recognized as a leading authority and contributor to the practice of metallurgy, materials science, and technology.

Prof. LU was specifically recognized for “seminal contributions to the understanding of the mechanical properties of metals and nanocrystalline materials and for his world-class leadership of materials research”.

He is currently the only TMS Fellow from Mainland China and second Chinese TMS Fellow in the history of TMS.
