Prof. ZHANG Shihong Receives the O.C.Zienkiewicz Award on NUMIFROM 2016

Prof. ZHANG Shihong from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) received the first O.C.Zienkiewicz Award on the NUMIFROM 2016 (the 12th International Conference on Numerical Methods in Industrial Forming Processes) at University of Technology of Troyes, France on July 5, 2016.

Prof. ZHANG Shihong is member of the steering committee of NUMIFORM conferences series. He also hosted the NUMIFORM 2013 in IMR.

The NUMIFORM conferences series, introduced by Prof. O.C. Zienkiewicz, one of the early pioneers of the finite element method, in 1982 is taking place every three years. The NUMIFORM international conferences series aim to provide a forum where recent advances and future directions in the numerical simulations of manufacturing processes are discussed by engineers and scientists from industry and academia worldwide. The O.C.Zienkiewicz Award is given to the last host of NUMIFORM to honor Prof. O.C. Zienkiewicz’s contribution.
