Prof. Chen De from Norwegian University of Science and Technology Visits IMR

Prof. Chen De, from Department of Chemical Engineering, Norwegian University of Science and Technology awarded with 2014 LEE HSUN Lecture Series—Research Award and visited Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS) from July 7 to July 16, 2014.

After the LEE HSUN Lecture Series ceremony, Prof. Chen De gave a lecture entitled “Pave the way for improving carbon nanomaterials supported catalysts: learning from natural catalysts”.

Prof. Chen De is a famous scientist for catalytic chemistry. His main research forces on Microkinetic modeling of surface reactions involved in natural gas conversion, synthesis and applications of nanomaterials, biomass conversion and synthesis and applications of carbon nanomaterials. He has participated more than 20 research projects, most on catalysis in natural gas conversion. He was also the guest editors in Topics in Catalysis (2 times) and in ChemCatChem.
