Professor Lu Baosen from University of Connecticut Visited SIA
Professor Lu Baosen from the University of Connecticut visited Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) recently, giving a report on From Manufacturing Scheduling to Supply Chain Coordination/Litho Machine Scheduling with Convex Hull Analysis
In his report, Lu Baosen introduced the latest research progress of his research team on the optimization modeling and method of production scheduling, as well as the latest ground-breaking research in solving the NP hard problem in scheduling. After the report, he visited the research achievement showroom, and spoke highly of the research progress made by SIA. He expressed the willingness of conducting more cooperation and exchanges with SIA researchers in the future.
As a famous scholar in the field of control theory and operations research, Lu Baosen now serves as associate editor of Discrete Event Dynamic Systems, associate editor of ACTA Automatic Sinica, advisory board of the International Transactions on Systems Science and Applications, member of the advisory board of the International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics. He also serves as IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers ) Fellow, CASE(Conneticut Academy of Science and Engineering) member, SME (Society of Manufacturing Engneers) senior member,, INFORMS (Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences) member and IIE (Institute of Industrial Engineers) senior member.
