The 12^th National Games of China commenced in Shenyang, Liaoning Province on August 31^st, and will last for about two weeks. During the period, a set of smart radar regional protection alarming system developed by researcher from Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has been playing an important role in guarding the competitors and venues, providing strong support for the national event.

The smart radar regional protection alarming system can amend to omissions and misjudgments caused by traditional surrounding protection alarming system, due to their limited sensor coverage and bad weather conditions. It can conduct positioning, tracking and alarming for specific invading object via radar detection technology. Helped by a high-definition video monitoring system, the alarming system can make swift response to and take records of the invading behavior, so that three-dimension protection and alarming can be achieved.
