Mr. Lorriette, chief technology officer from GIMA Co. of French International Agricultural Machinery Group, and his colleague paid a visit to Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA) on June 4, 2009. Wang Yuechao, Director of SIA, Du Jinsong, Director of Department of Automation System, and Wu Xuemin, Deputy Director of the General Office, accompanied the visit.

　  GIMA Co. of French International Agricultural Machinery Group is a world-renowned manufacturing enterprise devoted to tractor transmission. In recent years, with the market competition further intensified, the competitiveness of European manufacturing enterprises has been seriously weakened by the high manufacturing cost in world market. In order to solve these problems, most enterprises, including GIMA Co., have the intention to move their manufacturing bases from Europe to China. The purpose of this visited is to prepare for the construction of factory in China by investigating and evaluating what equipment SIA can provide for the transmission assembly line.

　  The meeting began with French guests’ thorough introduction to their company's situation and the purpose of their visit to SIA. Then Director Wang made a comprehensive and systematic introduction to SIA, and also answered the questions asked by French guests. The guests next were informed of the performance of related projects and SIA’s capability of design and development of transmission assembly line.

　  At the end of the visit, French guests expressed their affirmative approval of SIA’s capability in the design, development and manufacturing of transmission assembly line and their intention to strengthen cooperation with SIA.
